How to get your home ready for a professional cleaning
A professional cleaning goes furthest when the team can spend its time cleaning surfaces instead of moving things off them. A few minutes of preparation makes a visible difference.
Pick up, do not clean
Clear clothes off floors, put away toys and gather loose paperwork. Cleaners will work around items, but anything left on a counter or nightstand means less of that surface gets cleaned. You do not need to clean before a cleaning; just make surfaces reachable.
Point out the priorities
If the shower glass bothers you most, or the kitchen matters more than the guest room, say so in your booking notes. The checklist covers the whole home, but knowing what matters most helps the team spend extra time in the right places.
Mention special surfaces
Natural stone, unsealed wood, antique furniture and some appliance finishes need specific products. Let us know about anything delicate so the right approach is used.
Plan for pets
Some pets are relaxed around visitors and some are not. Tell us about pets in your booking notes, and if yours are anxious with strangers, consider a closed room or a crate during the visit.
Sort out access
Whether you will be home, leaving a key or using a lockbox, put the plan in your booking. Do not type codes into online forms; share them when your booking is confirmed. If you live in a gated community or a condo building, include any guest registration or front-desk steps.
Leave out linens
If you want beds changed, leave fresh sheets on each bed or in an obvious spot.
When you are ready, the instant estimate shows your price in about a minute.
